Control—Most want it. Most need it. Most don't know how to handle it when they have it. It can work for good—or for evil. It can be excessive, or totally lacking. Seems everything human kind tries to exert control over, we mess up. Compare human control to God’s control. What are we missing? Mankind is guilty of all sorts of mistakes and bad decisions every day because we’re human. We lack control over our lives much of the time.
God’s decisions, on the other hand, though we may not recognize right away as being for our benefit, are from a loving, compassionate, knowledgeable, and just Heavenly Father, who knows all and searches the heart of every man. Eventually, we look back and see His wisdom.
You wonder why He permits bad people to continue. Remember your own (human) decisions that weren’t necessarily good. Be thankful for His patience and mercy. Where would you be without it? You know your own heart. You do the best you can for yourself and your family. Yet, things don’t always turn out the way you intended.
A lot of times, we’re not in control simply because it’s just easier to let someone else take the helm.
“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” He knows and cares. I can’t see two feet in front of me. He sees the whole picture. Praise be to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ forever! Amen.
