I like making things into something, like with woodworking. I can make something new or I can mend something that has been broken. Woodworking takes a lot of tools. Different type of tools are needed for attaching pieces of wood, for cutting wood, for drilling, or for squaring and leveling.
I enjoy making old stuff new. Sometimes it takes a coat of paint, stain, burning a finish, or varnishing. For instance, things that are broken, they are a little tougher. You’ve got to gather the broken pieces, gently and with great care, and put them back together. Some pieces take extra care. But after you’re done, that broken piece, it is better than new, a brighter look, with a particular new glow and the owner is thrilled to have it back.
We are God’s work piece. Each one of us comes from different back grounds, with different life experiences. Some of us come from brokenness, heartaches and some are running away from hurtful guilt. Whatever we have been through our God has been gently putting us back together. Carefully and with love HE is remolding us into something wonderful. Each one of us is a special creation having been given a new song to sing. HE gives us life more abundant, joy, and peace beyond our understanding. God is not done with most of us. We are still a work in progress. God has a plan for us. Be patient and enjoy your salvation!
Philippians 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:”
I... Me... I am proof that God likes tinkering too. I’m a work in progress.
