What is worship? Jesus said, “God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.” John 4:24
Worship has to do with devotion. “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Matthew 6:21
We worship what we perceive to be of highest value. Jesus is the pearl of great price. It was an act of worship when the woman brought an alabaster jar of fragrant oil and anointed Jesus’ feet.
We worship God in song when we praise Him with grateful hearts.
We worship God when we perform our duties as an act of devotion to the Lord.
“And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.” Colossians 3:17
